Meet +20 Faces Of Down Syndrome , Beauty From All Over The World

March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. To celebrate this day, I reached out to parents with kids who have Down Syndrome. I also got in touch with adults with the same condition and I asked them to share with me their photos. These are the results:

  1. Amanda, 44

Amanda is from Michigan, USA.  She is a writer. She has co-authored a memoir together with her sister. The memoir is known as The North Side of Down.

  1. Scott, 26

Scott is from Canada. He takes part in the Special Olympics and plays various games, such as basketball, soccer, swimming and hockey. His dad coaches most of the teams he plays in.

  1. Marissa, 24

Marissa is from California, USA.  She attends Fresno State California College, where she lives in student housing and takes of her own bills.

  1. Maggie and Mollie, 21

They both live in Zambia. They are quite different. While Maggie loves to work and help around the house, Mollie is pretty much laid back and would rather be served instead. However, Mollie is quite an entertainer, who can sing and dance and keep a crowd entertained.

  1. Connor, 20

Connor lives in Colorado, USA. He likes to act, have fun and make the best of all situations. He is also an advocate and is quite athletic.

  1. Sam, 20

Sam lives in Zambia but he was born in Brazil. Sam wants to take after his dad, who is a pastor; consequently, he spends many hours working on sermons. Sam loves listening to music and helping his mum cook. He is pretty much sure that he can be president if ran for office.
